Come and enjoy our circular catering facilities and allow yourself to be surprised by the pure flavours of sustainable, locally sourced products. Circl restaurant is located on the ground floor and is a unique place to have lunch, dinner or drinks in Amsterdam’s Zuidas business district. Everything you see, hear, taste, smell and feel around you has a sustainable, circular story that our chef Rudolf Brand and his team will be pleased to tell you. From chairs made of recycled refrigerators to dishes using salvaged vegetables; the Circl Restaurant will stimulate all your senses while making a positive contribution to society and the environment!

Our menu

Circl Restaurant has a small set menu to which we add whatever local produce happens to be in season. It features hearty soups, salads, sandwiches and a range of warm dishes: nourishing, high-quality food to enjoy at any time of the day.

Our chef Rudolf Brand’s cooking is based on circular principles. In the kitchen, he wages a daily war against food waste. He experiments with sustainable cooking techniques such as canning and fermenting. The aim is to serve delicious food and make a positive impact on the environment while minimising energy consumption and waste production. Circl is a living lab where we make progress each day in the world of circular eating and drinking.


Circl Restaurant is suitable for larger groups. For groups of 10 people or more, we serve a circular 2 or 3-course Table d’Hotes menu. We’ll welcome your company with delicious dishes made with fresh seasonal products and with the possibility of an wine pairing.
We are happy to take any dietary requirements into account, but we need to know this in advance to serve an alternative or adapted dish.

A shared mission

At Circl, we work with suppliers who share our vision and do their bit to make the world a better place. For instance, we use organic bread baked by Iambe, which employs people with limited job prospects. The Circl restaurant also selects locally sourced products wherever possible, to help reduce carbon emissions.

We only work with meat from Dutch livestock supplied by Natuurlijk Beheer, the Lindenhoff Farm and Brandt & Levie. Our dishes are based on fruit and vegetables supplied by Instock, a company that processes fruit and vegetables that have been discarded by supermarkets. At Circl, salvaged consignments of oranges or French beans often get a new lease of life!
