Meaningful Movie: Journey To Utopia

In this documentary, the late filmmaker Erlend and opera singer Ingeborg make a bold decision to leave their farm behind and join an ecological experiment called Project Permatopia with their children, to become completely self-sufficient. However, the reality they encounter is far more challenging.

During this Meaningful Movie night we explore how to navigate challenges and find mental resilience while facing the climate crisis. After watching the documentary, two changemakers share their personal experience about swimming against the tide of conventions.

About Journey to Utopia:

“This might be the last film I make before the world ends,” says Norwegian filmmaker Erlend Mo at the beginning of “Journey to Utopia.” In the documentary Erlend and his wife Ingeborg are deeply concerned about climate change. Feeling an escalating need to take action, they sign up for Project Permatopia in Denmark: a community of like-minded individuals dreaming of self-sustainability.
